Modern Greek Songs - The digital audio archive of the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Vienna
The department began systematically acquiring recordings of Greek music back in the 1990s. The resulting collection has more than tripled since 2007 through targeted acquisitions and now comprises over 6000 individual titles from a wide range of genres. As part of an institute project under the direction of Prof. Dr. Maria A. Stassinopoulou and the coordination of PD Dr. Ioannis Zelepos, this material has been archived in digital form with the aim of using it in teaching and research over the long term.
